I was slightly annoyed by all the times they authors used the word "like", but it did help me remember the person writing it. Lava's story is amazing. I always read books about dogs and this is one of my favorites. I despise Marley and Me because at the end, one of the thoughts that went through his head was he couldn't justify spending the money for another surgery since that money could go to his kids. He also mentioned he wouldn't feel write spending the money with all the kids in the world who are wanting. If you feel this way, don't get a dog! Had he just left it at he did not want Marley to suffer anymore, the book would have been a hit. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I also suggest reading the book "Dog Years", although I forget the author. The book was fantastic.
