Coat:
American Hairless Terriers are, as the name implies, hairless. Care should be taken to prevent sunburn and they should be kept warm in cold weather.
Temperament:
American Hairless Terriers are intelligent, alert, playful and loving dogs. Very inquisitive and lively, they are very good with children.
Health Concerns:
American Hairless Terriers are sensitive to sun exposure and cold weather, and will need adequate protection. They have no breeding complications nor major skin problems associated with other hairless dogs.
Life Expectancy:
American Hairless Terriers are expected to live about 14-16 years.
Living Environment:
American Hairless Terriers do well in apartments, but require 20-30 minutes of exercise daily. Ideally, they will have a yard to play in.
