Temperament:
The Azawakh is agile, has great endurance, extremely loyal to and deeply affectionate with its family, but possesses the sharpest temperament of all the sighthound breeds. It is fiercely protective of its people and territory. Extremely intelligent and greatly independent, it must be trained at a young age.
Health Concerns:
Azawakhs are an incredibly sound coursing breed. They heal very quickly, with no known incidence of hip dysplasia. Hereditary conditions are rare.
