Description:
This large mastiff type dog breed has a signature white coat and is both muscular and graceful. Dogo Argentinos have massive heads and docked ears. They have a long tail that is never carried up, and loose skin on their necks to protect them while hunting.

The Dogo Argentino has a beautiful white coat.
Coat:
Because of its white color this breed is more sensitive to the sun and should be provided with ample shade. As well, special shampoo intended for white coated dogs should be used on the Dogo Argentino. Otherwise the Dogo Argentino is a clean dog requiring little to no grooming. This breed is an average shedder but has no doggie odor.
Temperament:
Intelligent and highly trainable the Dogo Argentino makes an excellent family pet. Dogos Argentinos love lounging on the family couch and can sit there quietly for hours. Dogos Argentinos enjoy obedience training and respond well to positive reinforcement. The Dogo Argentino is bred to be a superior hunting dog. Dogos Argentinos love to kiss and cuddle with their families.
Health Concerns:
The Dogo Argentino breed is prone to deafness but is otherwise a healthy breed.
Life Expectancy:
The Dogo Argention can be expected to live about 10-12 years.
Living Environment:
Dogos Argentinos should be brought inside if the temperature is below zero. They are highly active dogs and require plenty of exercise to keep them healthy.
