Description:
Like their cousins the Norwich Terriers, Norfolk Terriers have small sturdy bodies and fox-like muzzles. Their ears are close to their heads and they have both defined whiskers and eyebrows.

The Norfolk Terrier originated in England.

The Norfolk Terrier is about 10 inches (25 cm) high.
Weight:
Norfolk Terriers weigh 10 to 12 pounds (4½ to 5½kg).
Colors:
Norfolk Terriers come in red, wheaten, tan, black & tan, grizzle, occasionally with white markings.
Coat:
The coat is both wiry and straight and should be brushed and combed daily. The Norfolk Terrier is a light shedder.
Temperament:
The Norfolk Terrier is a spunky, energetic dog and is always in the mood to play, especially with children. The Norfolk Terrier loves being a part of the family. This breed will dig if not given something to occupy its quick mind.
Health Concerns:
Choke collars must not be used with this breed as they have sensitive tracheas. Also, adult teeth may begin to grow in over baby teeth. Some Norfolk Terriers may suffer from eye and back problems.
Life Expectancy:
The life span of the Norfolk Terrier is about 12 to 15 years.
Living Environment:
Norfolk Terriers do well in apartments assuming they receive sufficient exercise.
