Free at last, free at last! The dog we posted about yesterday has been freed. Turns out there was another dog in a similar predicament in Ohio. From the Associated Press:
Two dogs have survived separate ordeals stuck for days in Ohio drainage pipes.
A German short-haired pointer/boxer mix named Zeke disappeared on the day after Thanksgiving and was finally rescued Wednesday evening from a pipe in western Ohio’s Champaign County. Earlier in the day, a crew from a company that works on sewer lines used a robotic camera to locate the dog inside a pipe, 450 feet from a road and underneath a farm in the community of St. Paris.
After 2-year-old Zeke was dug out, the dog appeared healthy though very thin.
Last week, a hunting dog named Elvis fell into a pipe in Sandusky and was pulled out by an excavation crew four days later. Owner Erik Laughlin says his black and tan coonhound is fine now and ready to go hunting again.
Nice to report good news!
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
