Thanks to friend-of-the-blogger Wendy for sending me the finalists from the Extreme Grooming Contest. Don’t forget to look at the people in the background, as well as the dogs. No doubt, there are those of you who will think this is cruel and demeaning to the dogs. Feel free to let me know. My personal feeling is that they are works of art, and assuming that the paint comes off fairly easily and does not harm the dogs, why not?
BTW, the military dog is missing a leg due to cancer.
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
There people who are lonely & hurting, people who are starving, people who are oppressed & abused. The world needs people who care, it needs people to get involved…and this is how we spend our spare time? What a weak, self-indulgent people we have become. It’s embarrassing.
I see the art side, but I also see the demeaning and weird. I have mixed feelings. I feel bad for the dogs because dogs aren’t meant to be canvases and should be free to live a doggie lifestyle. But I guess if they don’t mind its’ ok. Kinda a complicated topic.
It’s true it doesn’t hurt the dog, but I still have a hard time with it.
To me, it is demeaning. All in all, just wierd!
