Did you know that there is an organization dedicated to recognizing superior acting prowess among dogs?

A British group, headed by Toby Rose, is organizing the Fido Film Awards. The date and place of the show has not yet been announced, but nominees include the dogs from “Bolt”, “Up”, and “Marley and Me”.

Categories include historical hound, rom-com rover, blockbuster bowser, mutt moment, and comedy canine.  Last year’s winner of the coveted “Best in World” award was Dolly, canine star of the British movie St Trinian’s.
