Looking for something to do this weekend in Central Ohio? Why not join in the 10th Annual Walk and Run for Homeless Pets.
You can register to walk, run, or volunteer at the PetPromise Rescue Run web site, where you can learn more about the event, including several contests that will be held. If you raise at least $25 in pledges, your registration fee is waived! The event is to be held at McFerson Commons in the Arena District in Columbus, beginning at 8 am on Saturday, May 29th.
This 5K event and family-friendly festival expects to attract more than 1200 people and their pets. There will be dog agility competitions, a parade, and the Fun Fair, all concluding by 1 pm, leaving you lots of time to get your grill started for the remainder of the holiday weekend. Last year’s festival raised more than $44,000.
AEP, my employer, is a proud sponsor of the event.
Each year, PetPromise rescues and provides food and medical care to hundreds of homeless, unwanted and abused dogs and cats. For most of these animals, PetPromise is their last hope. Proceeds from the 10th Annual Pet Promise Rescue Run will help give homeless pets a second chance.
Hope you can help out!
Until next time,
