I posted this week about an innovative new dog leash from Mountain Dog Products that is made from recycled climbing ropes. Which got me to wondering about the various types of dog leashes my readers might be using.
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
HI,
WE USE A NYLON HARNESS BECAUSE OUR RESCUED AMERICAN ESKIMO “ESCAPES” FROM REGULAR COLLARS. HE’S GREAT. BUT VERY STUBBORN. HE WANTS TO SET THE PACE AND THE DIRECTION OF THE WALK! WE LOVE HIM ANYWAY AND SPOIL HIM A LOT!

I gotta ask, Onnalee – where do you live? Wolf packs? Really? Sounds like the wild, wild west!
As we (my Beagle and I) live in an apartment, there is s STRICT leashing rule. This coupled with the city’s Leashing Law, requires leash use at all times. I use a retractable leash together with mesh vest … can’t abide a “choke” collar. She is an old girl, just like me; neither of us moves very fast or far. Besides, there is the very real danger of losing her to one of four roaming wolf packs, who have attacked and killed pets in town. Who’s “endangered?”
I’ve had some luck with hemp leashes made by the Planet Dog Company Store too!
