I’ve spent a lot of time this week posting about the privileged purebreds who will compete at the 2011 Westminster Kennel Club show starting tomorrow, but I did want to take at least a few minutes to put the spotlight on a dog who isn’t looking to win any prize other than a forever home.
Pictured here is Polly, a Husky mix currently living in a foster home sponsored by Forever Home Canine Rescue in Barium Springs, NC. Here’s what their website has to say about this cutie.
Polly is a very sweet 50-lb. Husky mix who has beautiful blue eyes. She is well socialized and is housetrained. Polly is a friendly girl who has never met a stranger. She gets along with adults, children, and other dogs, both big and small. We feel she may be about 1 to 2-years-old, and is very playful. Given a tennis ball or football, she will run and play by herself… or with other dogs she loves to run and play tug-of-war. When running in the woods and chasing squirrels, she leaps just like a deer! Polly would love to be in a family with another playful canine companion, although what she really needs is a family that can give her the love and attention that she so deserves. Could that be your home and family?
Polly is spayed, microchipped, current on her Rabies, DHP/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccines, is heartworm negative, and is on heartworm prevention.
Polly’s adoption fee is $150.00.
