My nephew is getting married in Washington, DC tomorrow, so Cooper decided I would be more fashionable at the wedding with a huge black eye!
He and I were cuddling together in the bed the other morning, all nice and peaceful. Peaceful, that is, until a squirrel ran across the utility wire that runs right outside my bedroom window and stopped to “call” Cooper to come out and play.
Cooper leaped up and tried to jump out of the bed, but he forgot he was under the covers and got all tangled up.
End result: 50 pounds of dog landed squarely on my eye, giving me my first ever shiner.
It’s a good thing I love this dog…
