This time, I’m not asking for your money, just for you to keep your eyes open. When Brandon Harker returned from Afghanistan in July, he was so looking forward to being greeted by his yellow Lab, Oakley. However, he soon found out that his “friends” had either sold or given away the dog through social media site CraigsList.
Harker has had the dog since he was just eight weeks old. He describes Oakley as a 100-pound lap dog, good with children and other dogs. Oakley has “a unique coat – on his face he has spots of a darker yellow (champagne), he also has spots of the same color going down his sides and legs.” He believes the dog was sold in Lakewood, Washington sometime between November, 2012 and July, 2013, while he was deployed to Afghanistan.
If you’ve seen Oakley or know who has him, please contact Brandon Harker through his CraigsList ad.
Please keep your eyes open readers, and those of you who post elsewhere are welcome to cross-post this. Someone has seen this dog, and this young man gave up an awful lot to serve his country. Don’t we owe it to him to help him get his best friend back?.
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
