So, you’re a puppy who has been abused, neglected, and abandoned. Close to death, you are picked up and taken to a shelter. You are nursed back to health by some miracle, but that’s not the only miracle you will be associated with if your name is Xena!
The Hickey family fell in love with Xena from her Facebook page and decided to adopt her, little knowing the impact she would have on their son, who is autistic. She has helped Jonny come out of his shell, but the miracles don’t stop even there!
Through her Facebook page, and online campaigns, this little dog who survived against all odds is now raising funds for the care of other abused animals. Now that’s paying it forward!
