Unbelievably, Ginger’s owner dropped her off February 1st at a shelter, asking that she be killed because he could no longer care for her. The video is heartwrenching. You can literally feel this dog’s terror.
Fortunately, the story does have a happy ending. The volunteer videographer who was at the San Bernardino City (CA) Animal Control that day to shoot videos of animals looking for adoptive homes has said she will pull Ginger from the shelter and keep her until she’s adopted.
Maria Sanchez tells the National Dog News Examiner, “I am going to pull her…and bring her home with me. Julie and I will screen the adopters to find her the best possible home. In the meantime I will let her decompress and try to find out more about her temperament and personality. I’ve got dogs, cats, and kids. She will be a part of my family until her new one comes along.”

Good luck to Ginger and kudos to Ms. Sanchez for fostering her. I hope they’ll post another video of her when she is happy, healthy, and thriving in a loving home.
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
Why are they petting a terrified dog? It looks idioticly naive to interact with an unknown dog that way.
This makes me sick!!!!! A Pet is A FUR CHILD & IF YOU CANT RAISE THEM THEIR WHOLE LIFE, DO NOT TAKE THEM & LATER BREAK OUR SWEET HEART!!!! Shame on HIM or Her!!!!!!
