Welcome to our live blog coverage of the National Dog Show telecast. Although the actual show was put on by the Philadelphia Kennel Club a few weekends ago, mum’s the word on who won. So, if your TV is getting its annual football workout today, or if you’re stuck in the kitchen with no TV, check here often, and we’ll post the results of each Group as they are announced.
First up: Let loose the hounds! All 31 breeds of them!

This one hits a little too close to home. Akron, once known as the Rubber City due to the production of tires, is about 20 miles north of my home. As the tire trade has moved production to countries where cheaper labor is available, Akron has fallen on somewhat hard times. And as in many cities, crime has moved in.
