Saturday Survey: Those Thieving Cats and Dogs
We posted a video earlier in the week that showed cats stealing food from the dogs’ dishes. Which begs the question: does this kind of stuff happen in your house? At my house, we keep the cat food behind a baby gate to keep the dogs out, and my dogs don’t eat slowly enough to allow ANYONE to steal anything without losing several body parts.

Great News!
For the first time, I have been credentialed as press, and it’s for the grandaddy of them all – Westminster Kennel Club’s 139th Annual Dog Show!!!!
So, not only will I be live-blogging all day (instead of just when winners are announced publicly like I have in years past), I’ll also be able to include lots of photos and (hopefully) some interviews with owners, trainers, and handlers.
I cannot wait for February to get here!

Make Your Dog a Star!
Best-selling author, producer and screenwriter Nicholas Sparks is ready to make one lucky fan’s adopted pet a star in an upcoming novel! He’s teamed up with nonprofit PetSmart Charities for a unique contest to celebrate shelter pets.
Sparks is a longtime pet adoption advocate and lives with three rescue dogs. The contest asks for fans to submit their pet’s adoption story. Sparks will choose the most heartwarming story, and the lucky winner’s adopted pet will be named in one of Sparks’ upcoming novels and will also be featured on Sparks’ website, along with an introduction by the author.
