I’m proud of my home state of Ohio. The Ohio House voted with a 78-0 vote on SB 86 which includes language sponsored by state Representative Laura Lanese:
“A shelter pet is hereby designated as the official pet of the state to raise public awareness of shelter animals.”
The measure still needs to pass the state Senate and be signed by the Governor, but it’s a start!
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
