For those of you on the west coast of the US and Canada who may not be used to such high temperatures:
Let your dog walk in the grass when possible or buy booties to protect his/her feet.
Remember to leave your dog at home, not in the car, when it’s hot out. Even if you leave the A/C on in the car, it can malfunction and your best friend will die. Police K-9 cars are usually equipped with a system that automatically opens the doors when the A/C quits, but I’m betting your car doesn’t have this feature. Better safe than sorry – leave ’em home.
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
