Good advice!
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
Hoping you find something even close to this good under your tree this year.
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
My mom and I spent last Saturday in Wheeling, WV, at Oglebay Park. Our primary reason for going was to see the Festival of Lights in the evening, but we had a little time to roam around the estate, museums, and gift shops during the day. Turns out the grounds make an excellent place to walk your dogs, so we were lucky enough to meet Jessie, a 14-year old Golden Retriever, and Charlie, a Poodle. Both of them were enjoying a lovely fall day in the park, showing off their colorful sweaters.
By the way, the Festival of Lights is well worth the trip!
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
OK, this is one of those things that is so funny, I had to share it with you even though it has nothing to do with dogs. First of all, is this a thing now? Why did so many people think to place a cucumber near the cat dish while the cat was eating? And why are cats so scared of them? You know I’m going to have to try this with my cat now.
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!

A big shout out to our Canadian readers as they celebrate Thanksgiving today. Thanks for coming along with us on this blog journey.
A short history lesson for the American readers: The Canadians actually celebrated the first Thanksgiving celebration in North America in 1578 – a full 43 years before the Pilgrims celebrated at the Plymouth Rock colony in 1621. The Canadian celebration happened when explorer Martin Frobisher returned to Canada after his 3rd try at finding the Northwest Passage.
Canadians: Please eat a BIG piece of apple pie for me! (And remember to keep your dog away from the turkey carcass – the bones can splinter and cut your dog’s throat and intestines.)
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
The good folks at NextDoor Blog recently data-mined their customers’ profiles to find out what they had named their pets. The results are pictured here. If you’re not familiar with NextDoor, it is a social networking site that allows you to narrow down your network to people in your own neighborhood. Kind of Facebook meets CraigsList, if you will.
