This video features a small kitten, but it’s nice to know these tiny masks are becoming more and more common in fire trucks. They can be used for any household pet. If your local fire department doesn’t have one, why not consider donating one – your pet may be the one who is saved.
You can’t make this stuff up, folks. Visitors to the zoo at People’s Park of Luohe, China, were very surprised recently when the lion they were looking at began BARKING at them! How far away would you have had to have been to be fooled? (The picture shown is a Tibetan Mastiff, but not the one that was on display at the zoo.)
From Amazing Facts and Nature’s Facebook page (which has TONS of really cool pictures). This chimpanzee was born in a Russian zoo and rejected by it’s mother. Good thing this Mastiff with puppies was handy to adopt the chimp!
Thanks to friend-of-the-blog Rob Worrall for sending this to me. I’m embarrassed to admit I missed this – Cleveland’s practically in my back yard!
When this puppy was dropped off at the Cleveland Animal Protective League, they had to find someone to nurse it back to health, and lacking any suitable dog mamas, they turned to Lurlene the cat!
In other Cleveland APL news, they are currently accepting submissions for their 2014 calendar, if you have a picture you’d like to send.
