One Scary Kitten and One Scary Dude from Florida

I can see where these dogs have reason to be so afraid! LOL

I couldn’t bear to make this whole post about the other dog story that is in the news today, but I’ll give you a brief overview. A Florida man has been arrested on charges he sexually assaulted the family’s pet dog over 100 times for at least the past three years. I can’t believe no one reported this ongoing abuse for over three years. People suck.

If you really want details, you can check out this story from USA Today.

Now, aren’t you glad I showed you the kitten video first?

Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!

Election Day: Can’t We All Just Get Along?

getting-along

Thanks to photographer and friend Randy Reed for providing this great example of how it is possible for us to get along with those we don’t always agree with. Prince the dog found a comfy pillow, while Ollie the cat found someone to keep him warm, demonstrating an important fundamental: working together, we can find a way to satisfy both sides. Collaboration is always better than anger and hate.

Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!

Saturday Survey: All Dogs, All the Time?

I showed you a picture of my new baby kittens this week (because they’re SO CUTE!), and it got me wondering. Do you think it’s appropriate to sometimes feature animals other than dogs on a doggies blog? I know many of you are animal lovers in general, so I try to introduce some things that are cute, but I don’t want to go too far afield if that’s not your interest.

Baby Mamas

baby-mamasI rescued two 2-week old kittens this week. Look who thinks they’re the baby mamas! Cooper is absolutely obsessed with them, but every once in a while, Penny does check up on whether or not he’s doing his job correctly.

Think of me while you’re sleeping blissfully tonight. These guys need to be fed every 2 – 3 hours! At least they have finally figured out the bottle – the syringe feedings take forever!

Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
