2016 AKC Meet the Breeds “G” through “I”
Moving on with the G’s. I should probably note that not every breed was represented at this event. Some didn’t have tables set up, and some of the tables were not manned, for example, if the breed was being shown at the time I happened by.

I spent a few hours wandering through the Meet the Breeds event at the 2016 AKC National Championships in Orlando, Florida. I’m trying to decide how to present the pictures. I thought about doing it by breed group, but thought maybe it made more sense to go alphabetically. So, here is the “A” group.

A little down time at the 2016 AKC Nationals
I didn’t want you all to think I forgot about you, so I wanted to let you know what was going on. We spent about 3 or 4 hours at the AKC Meet the Breeds event, then Uber-ed back to the hotel. I’m now going through over 400 pictures, picking out the best ones to show you – coming up as soon as I get through the whole stack.
This evening’s event – the Best in Group showings for the Toy, Hound, Sporting, and Non-Sporting groups begins at 6 pm, so I’ll be back to bring you all the excitement from the show ring at that time.
To hold you over until my next post, here are two very contented dogs at the Meet the Breeds event.
Jake: The Most Titled Boykin Spaniel in History!
Here is Jake, pictured with friends of his family. Jake is a Boykin Spaniel, which is the state dog of South Carolina. According to his family, Jake is the most titled Boykin in history, having earned championships in conformation, rally, obedience, senior hunting, and dock diving. In his spare time, Jake works as a therapy dog. Way to represent the Boykins, Jake!
