Meet Sheba!

Here in Stark County, Ohio, we are very fortunate to have the Children’s Network, a place where children of abuse can prepare for trials and work through their trauma. Founded in 1987, the Children’s Network Child Advocacy Center of Stark County (The Network) is a community partnership of caring professionals from child protective services, local law enforcement agencies, prosecution, victim advocacy, mental health, medical and support services. These professionals work together in one location to help children and their families cope with exposure to violence, sexual abuse and severe physical abuse by offering comprehensive, coordinated services in the investigation and prosecution of these cases and the treatment and aftercare services available to these children and their non-offending family members.

And The Network is very fortunate to have Sheba, a therapy dog who helps calm children as they try to put their shattered lives back together. Isn’t she beautiful?

Such a great mission!

Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!

MY Chair

So I bought this chair for my bedroom about a month ago (because Rosie ate the old one!) I mostly just sit in it to get dressed and put my hair up. Rosie has never had any interest in it.

One night, I sat there for a few hours to watch TV, and she kept whining at me the whole time I was sitting there. I finally got up to go to bed, and she jumped up there and fell fast asleep. Mind you, this was about a week ago, and she hasn’t shown any interest in it since that night.

What a weirdo! But I love her.

Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!

Nothing Gets Past Rosie

When I first got Rosie, I was able to get this very nice “My Pillow” brand dog bed for free because of points I had accumulated on my debit card. She immediately peed on it, so I put it on top of her crate to keep it nice until she got past the peeing and chewing up everything in sight stage. The cats have been enjoying it because they can see out the window between naps on it.

Fast forward four months…Rosie found it! LOL

Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
