Ace / Cocker: Went to jump 10 before jump 9 and missed a weave pole, then almost refused a jump, but went right to the cameraman for his close-up at the end! Too cute! This dog did get a little bit of a break on jump heights due to being in a preferred class (what we would normally call a senior citizen if we weren’t so politically correct).

Boudah / Brussels Griffon: refused the teeter totter and almost missed that problem jump right before the weave poles. Not his best run.
Dallas / Papillon: a little bigger than his compatriots in the lower class. Missed a contact and went through a tunnel backwards.

8-inch Dogs: Westminster Agility
The small dogs (8″ at the shoulder) were first up, with a Havanese named Rowdy and a Maltese named Bitzy starting out. Not perfect runs, but they are awful cute to watch!

Agility Show Broadcast Delayed
C’mon Fox Sports 1! I’ve been waiting all day for the Westminster Masters Agility Championships, which were supposed to start at 7 pm. But the basketball game is running over. I like college hoops as much as the next person, but pleeeeeeease can we start with the dogs already? They’d better present it in its entirety!
*stopping whining now
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!

2014 Westminster Agility Course
I had planned on spending today live-blogging the agility event at this year’s inaugural Westminster Masters Agility Competition. Imagine my surprise when I learned they are not streaming any of the event online or through their mobile app nor are they posting preliminary results on their site. Grrrrrr.
I will bring you what news I can, whenever I can, and I will definitely post tonight during the televised portion of the competition – the finals.
For now, you can download the running order if you have friends who are competing, and you can see a layout of the various courses here.
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
Sochi Puppies
From NBC Sports comes this cuter than cute photo montage of Olympic athletes with two Husky puppies named Sochi, just in time for the start of the Winter Olympics.
Until net time,
Good day, and good dog!
