How many of you have or have had a dog named Sandy? The name always makes me think of the scruffy little dog in Annie and the Lil Orphan Annie cartoon. Anyways, I received the below e-mail from Barry at Dig and Bark, so thought I would pass it along. I’ve ordered from them before and was very happy with both the quality and the service.

I love reading stories about successful dog adoptions, especially when they involve veterans. Pets for Patriots reports that Coast Guard vet Al was suffering from depression when he saw a news story about the Pets for Patriots program that matches shelter dogs with veterans. The organization also with the adoption fee and veterinary expenses.

2012 Stark County Mutt Strut
I was hoping the local paper would have carried more pictures because I wasn’t able to make it to this year’s Mutt Strut. Alas, they just had this one, but aren’t they cute? Love the cow costume! Continue reading 2012 Stark County Mutt Strut

Cesar Milan’s Pack Walk
Scooby-Doo, Cesar Millan and friends are headed to the National Mall in Washington, DC on September 29th, 2012 for the 2nd Annual National Family Pack Walk event. This is not your average walk in the park; they will be walking to save the lives of dogs at this year’s event.
Cesar Millan will kick-off the event with a 1.5 mile Pack Walk. Upon completion of the walk, attendees will return to the event area for an afternoon filled with fun, mystery, education and much more presented by Scooby-Doo, Mutt-i-grees®, North Shore Animal League America and other partners.
Not going to be in DC? There are also walks taking place in many states, as well as an online virtual walk so you can participate from the comfort of your easy chair.
All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Cesar Millan Foundation’s continued efforts to help rescue, rehabilitate and re-home abused and abandoned dogs.
Please participate if you can!
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
