Don’t forget! Tomorrow is Take Your Dog to Work Day, an event designed to make more people familiar with the joy dogs bring into our lives so they will be more likely to adopt them. Assuming your dog is one who would be a good ambassador to promote dog adoption, why not consider asking your boss if you can participate.
Friday Funny: Chloe the Springer Spaniel
Thanks to Rhoda Lynn for sending this picture of Chloe, her 6-year old Springer Spaniel, who “loves to eat!” Rhoda and her family were traveling in their motor home and stopped to have lunch. Chloe hid under the table and then crawled up to see what the family was having to eat!
Working Dogs Weekend @ Lake Metroparks
Had I realized what a big deal this was, I would have posted about it earlier so you could make plans to go. We volunteered to take our dogs to a Dock Dogs demonstration event today (for people who want to see what it looks like when a dog WON’T jump). I just went into the park’s web site to find directions, and they have a HUGE event planned. Check out the working dog events they have planned.
If you’re going to be near Cleveland today, stop by and see us. I’ll try to take lots of pictures and post them in the coming week.

Marmaduke Movie: Eight thumbs up!
We took the kids to see Marmaduke this weekend, and all four of us loved it! I had expected it to be more targeted to kids, and it did have its moments, but it was so much more.
Saturday Survey: Does Your Dog Smile?
When my dogs are really happy, their tails wag in circles, and I’d swear they were smiling. I get to see this when I come home after a long absence, such as that required to walk down the driveway to the mailbox or to take the trash out. Does your dog smile at you?
