Here in Ohio, the heat index is supposed to be over 100 degrees this weekend. Make sure you give your dog ample time inside with the air conditioner, but for the times when he or she has to be outside, here’s a fun idea to help your dog keep cool. Continue reading PupSicles

Friday Funny: I’ll Have Mine With Sprinkles, Please
Does Your Dog Like Lemons?
Poor little Dachshund! We used to do this to my (two-legged) niece.
Until next time,
Good day and good dog!
Good Boy Dog Beer
Houston bar owners have launched a line of non-alcoholic beer for dogs, containing vitamins and minerals to supplement their regular food. No word on whether or not there’s a green variety for this weekend, but I suppose you could just add food coloring?
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
Have You Seen My Eggs?
I’m getting older, so I often forget things, but I swear I left two hard-boiled eggs on the counter!
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
PetWeighter Non-Skid Bowl
I was asked recently to review the PetWeighter dog dish, advertised not to slip and slide across the floor while your dog eats. I was skeptical, but have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Treat Ball Game
We often recommend keeping your dog mentally stimulated during the day if you are away from home. It keeps the dog from engaging in boredom behaviors like chewing, digging, and excessive barking. Here’s an innovative idea to make him or her think about where the next meal is coming from.
Put a few pieces of kibble or treats in some, but not all, of the sections of a muffin tin, then cover every section with a tennis ball. The dog must remove the balls to find the food. S/he can then play with the balls after eating.
Also good for dogs who eat too fast.
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
Xylitol Kills!
I read about a husky mix in Tennessee that died recently after eating sugar free gum, so today’s the day I remind you that Xylitol, a common non-sugar sweetener, is poisonous for dogs. Continue reading Xylitol Kills!
