Shelter Sunday: Cleveland Browns Pound Puppies
If you’re a football fan, you might know that Cleveland Browns fans sit in the Dawg Pound endzone and that the team mascot is a Dawg.

LIFESAVING AKC PET DISASTER RELIEF TRAILERS DEPLOYED TO 50 LOCATIONS TO HELP DISPLACED PETS
From The Dog Lady’s mailbag: AKC Reunite, the largest non-profit pet identification and recovery service provider in the United States, is pleased to announce the 50th deployment of its AKC Pet Disaster Relief trailers. These life-saving trailers donated to local emergency management teams through the AKC Pet Disaster Relief program are available to dispatch to any local disaster scene that needs assistance sheltering pets. AKC Reunite has also provided funds to support the work of organizations that are saving and reuniting pets with their owners during natural disasters. Shelter Sunday: Jodi / K-9 Freekz Rescue / Grand Island, NE
Meet Jodi! Now y’all know how I am about those long hound ears. Someone better go snap her up before I make my way out to Nebraska! Here’s what Jodi’s rescuers have to say about her:
Jodi is a new mama that finished weaning her baby. She is now ready for her own forever home! She’s 2 years old and weighs about 50 lbs. She is people and dog friendly, but seems to have a bit of a prey drive with squirrels, so cats and other tiny animals might not work for her home. She is the most kind and sweet girl with her amazing brown eyes! She is kennel and house trained, but not fully vetted yet, as we need to wait for her milk to dry up before her spay.
