Have you seen the story out of Boca Raton, FL yet? Seems a couple (who already have 9 dogs) wanted a clone of one of their dogs who had recently passed away. (And BTW, this reminds me a lot of the lady in California who had six kids at home & underwent artificial insemination to have octuplets).

From Robinson Township, Michigan: The AP is reporting that an Australian cattle dog/pit bull mix jumped on a school bus and bit two of the children.
Not a topic we like to think about, but we all know that dogs are put down when shelters become over-crowded. Do you have any idea how your state carries out the euthanasia? In North Carolina, apparently, they use a gas chamber, which brings to my mind Nazi Germany’s death camps. Not terribly humane, and apparently, not always effective, as this beautiful little puppy was pulled alive from the shelter’s garbage can.
I received this link from friend-of-the-blogger Pam regarding pyrethroid-based flea and tick treatments, which are apparently quite dangerous, even though they are FDA approved for use on your pet. Check your labels!
