Two new competitors at the 2016 AKC National Championship Obedience Invitational. I actually did an interview with the handler after they finished in the ring, but all of my notes are in my phone, which I lost on the plane ride home. My apologies that I don’t even remember their names.
Yesterday, I showed you several diving dogs who fell short on their practice jumps. This video shows you what it’s supposed to look like, with a great jump from this little Boston Terrier.
Another dog and handler whose names I didn’t catch. You’ll see the dog miss a few of the obstacles, but have a great deal of fun, nonetheless. That’s what I love about agility. The dogs – and the handlers – have a blast, regardless of technical performance.
This is the same team from clip # 1, competing at the 2016 AKC National Championship Obedience Invitational. In this clip, the handler transfers her scent onto an object, and the object is placed with a group of similar objects. The dog must retrieve the correct object based on distinguishing the scent patterns.
This is a portion of a Golden Retriever’s obedience routine. In this clip, you’ll see the dog heel, wait, and respond to hand signals from his handler.
From last weekend’s 2016 AKC National Championship, Obedience Invitational.
