Of the more than 300 search and rescue dogs working at Ground Zero, Bretagne was the last survivor. Although most, if not all of the dogs who searched the 9/11 rubble have now crossed the Rainbow Bridge, we will never forget their selfless work and devotion to duty.
We featured a story this week about a dog who had been trained to call 911, and did so when his guardian had a seizure. I’m not so sure any of my dogs would be capable of this – how about you?
