Meet Molly! According to Homeward Bound’s web site:
Molly somehow ended up at Gilmer County Animal Control pregnant and on borrowed time. Her days were running out and she was about ready to pop! We saved Ms. Molly from animal control on 5/7/10 and on 5/9/10 she gave birth to 9 happy healthy babies at her foster home. Ms. Molly is now ready for adoption and she needs her own home where she can get some loving! Molly was a good mom. Molly is pretty much fully housebroken. She is protective and has the typical hound dog howl and bark. She gets along well with other dogs but will sometimes growl or bark at them but is not aggressive with them. We are guessing that Molly is a Red Tick Coonhound mix. She is about 56 pounds and has beautiful red ticking. Molly is an older girl probably 5 years old. She is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed and heartworm negative. She has been started on heartworm and flea preventative. Her adoption fee is $175.00. If you are interested in adopting Molly please complete an online Adoption Form. This dog is microchipped with a Home Again microchip.
Homeward Bound’s goal is to reduce the number of stray cats and dogs in their community through education programs, referral lists for neighboring shelters and rescue groups, and by offering cost-effective spay/neuter programs for those in need of financial assistance. Since August 29, 2000, they have rescued and adopted out 3,501 animals!
If you’ll be in Georgia soon, why not call Homeward Bound at (706) 698-HOME to set up a time to meet Molly and her friends.
If you’re somewhere else, check out local animals available for adoption at PetFinder’s Shelter Center.
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
