I’ve been seeing commercials today for a new series on Animal Planet called Rescue Dog to Super Dog. The premiere is scheduled for Saturday, August 12th at 10 pm Eastern.
And don’t miss tonight’s 2-hour season premiere of PitBulls and Parolees at 9 pm Eastern.
How funny is this! King, a one-year old dog who was to be featured as the “pet of the week”, just couldn’t wait for the weather segment to finish before he began what was to be his TV debut.
But the weatherman handled it beautifully. You can tell he’s a dog person!
According to a recent story in the Daily Mail, the worldwide obesity epidemic is also affecting our dogs. (Which they call “Broader Collies” and “Flabradors” – LOL) Continue reading Dogs and Obesity→
Have you seen the new PBS show called “Shelter Me” yet? It’s being promoted as an “inspiring series that celebrates shelter pets with positive and uplifting stories.”
The real news here is that if you rent a copy of episode 1 from Redbox before Monday night, they will donate the money to Ellen DeGeneres’ Halo Pet Foundation, which will help many shelter pets.
As I posted earlier in the week, NBC is previewing a new show to premier this fall called “Animal Practice”. In fact, they got dinged for showing part of an episode about a monkey right after Gabby Douglas (who is black) won her gold medal. But I digress… Continue reading Saturday Survey: New Animal Practice Show on NBC→
I posted earlier this week about the new K-9 Cops on Animal Planet, and how much I like it. My son, on the other hand, can’t live without seeing It’s Me or the Dog. That got me to wondering what shows you might like.
While I’ve been waiting for my knee to heal, I’ve been watching a lot of television, and recently found a new show I really like. Have you seen K-9 Cops on Animal Planet yet?
Animal Planet is reporting record ratings for this year’s Puppy Bowl. 1.7 million people tuned in to the premier broadcast (up from 1.1 last year), and after five subsequent re-airings, a total of 9.2 million people saw it in all.
I liked it okay – it was really cute…for awhile. But really, it’s just two hours of puppies running around playing on an indoor football field. I can’t imagine over 9 million of us had nothing better to do, but what do I know?
