Do you love those videos of dogs (and others) welcoming home soldiers at the end of their deployments? Just found out there is a website with nothing but! Check out WelcomeHomeBlog!
Have you seen the new stamp put out by the USPS? It is one of those “Forever” stamps that you can buy at today’s rates and continue to use regardless of how high postage rates go up. (If interest rates continue so low, I may consider investing!) Anyways, this stamp features Owney, the canine mascot of the Railway Mail Service.
Found this on my facebook from a friend who does animal rescue. Cute dog; cute story. This canine long-distance runner even has his own FaceBook page! Until next time, Good day, and good dog!
I posted earlier this week about the new K-9 Cops on Animal Planet, and how much I like it. My son, on the other hand, can’t live without seeing It’s Me or the Dog. That got me to wondering what shows you might like.
With no end in sight to the heat wave gripping much of the country, I wanted to dedicate today’s post to helping you help your dog survive the summer heat.
In the week or so since I’ve been home from the hospital with my new knee, Cooper has barely left my side. He’s always been a big baby, but I really think he knows I don’t feel so good. It’s weird because the other three dogs (and even 1 of the cats) don’t appear to notice, but Cooper & 1 of the cats have been all about sticking with me. It’s good to have friends!
Check out this cute video, recommended by friend-of-the-blog Onnalee Graham. It’s a cute short animated clip speaking to the unconditional love we receive from both God (or Buddha, or Mohammed, I suppose) and our dogs.
Spent most of the day setting up, then cleaning up after, my 2-legged son’s birthday party. Which got me to thinking about dog birthdays. Do you celebrate with them?
Ya’ know how they say that if you live with someone long enough, you will begin to look like them? I wish I knew who took these photographs because he / she did a great job.
It’s Oscar weekend! I don’t think a dog has ever won an Oscar, or even appeared on the red carpet (what would they wear???) but if they could win, which one is most deserving?
