October: Fire Prevention Month
As you probably already know, October is Fire Prevention Month. When you are making your family’s escape plan, don’t forget to include your pets. If you can safely take them with you when you’re evacuating, obviously that’s the first choice, but you should never go back in to get them if you can’t find them on the way out.
Consider getting a window cling that alerts firefighters to the presence of animals in your home. I did a quick search and found a 2-pack of stickers at Petco.com for $1.99 (Pictured here).
Stay safe!
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
