I struggled with keeping my dogs out of the trash with two former dogs. (Penny can’t reach – she just gets into things I leave out.)
The only thing I found that worked was a trash can that fit into a top-opening cupboard that tipped out towards you.
This looks like it would be an easy solution, as well.

Hard to argue with someone who’s having that much fun!
I’ve read where people are wondering if something is wrong with her hips or spine due to the way she lies down, but her family insists she is just fine. She lies that way to cool off her belly. My beagle / foxhound / something else mix, Molly, slept that way, and she never appeared to have any problems.

My little Daisy has figured out that no one likes to be awakened by barking. If she barks, one of the boys will inevitably yell at her. So, instead, she climbs up on the bed and uses her nose to knock everything off the nightstand. Wakes me up every time!
