From The Dog Lady’s mailbag: AKC Reunite, the largest non-profit pet identification and recovery service provider in the United States, is pleased to announce $75,000 in donations to K-9 units at eight police departments in Minnesota through its AKC Reunite Adopt a K-9 Cop matching grant program. Funds were raised by contributions from the United States Police Canine Association and community members, with AKC Reunite matching donations at a three-to-one ratio. Dog Found After Being Featured on Beer Can
You’ve seen the kids on the side of milk cartons. Recently, a Florida brewery announced they would be putting lost dogs on the sides of beer cans. And they had at least one success! What a sweet story.

Meet Duke, the 3-term Mayor of Cormorant Village, MN. I don’t know much about Duke, other than that he’s a Great Pyrenees, but he sure looks cute on his Facebook page!
And I really like the idea of a canine mayor, maybe even a canine President. I mean, could he do any worse than the current occupant of the White House?
