I don’t know if this is photoshopped or not, but it sure is beautiful.
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!

I found this today – did NOT write it – but thought it might be comforting to some of you who have lost pets.
Hi, mom and dad!
Now that I’ve been across The Rainbow Bridge for a couple weeks, they said I should write a letter home. Sorry, mom, but I’m so busy ‘across the bridge’ that I haven’t thought of home much. They said it’s okay and that you would understand. I hope you do. (I think you will.) Continue reading Letter From the Rainbow Bridge
Long-time readers of this blog may remember my friend’s dog, Mischief, who ate at least one couch with his brother, Mayhem. I’m sad to report that Mischief crossed the rainbow bridge this morning. Continue reading RIP Mischief
With Memorial Day yesterday, I wanted to share some suggestions from I Heart Dogs on ways you can honor your dog after he or she passes over the Rainbow Bridge. Continue reading Honoring Your Dog’s Life
Anybody besides me remember the children’s book called “I’ll Love You Forever”. I always thought it was kind of creepy because this lady sneaks into her adult son’s bedroom at night to sing her little bedtime song. Somehow, when it’s a pet, it’s not creepy at all!
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
It seems I’m focusing quite a bit on death this week, but I’d like to know your opinion on the Rainbow Bridge idea. It’s a sweet, helpful grief recovery mechanism for many people, I’m sure. I’d like to believe my pets who have passed on will be there waiting. What about you?

BuzzFeed ran this recently, and it was so touching, I had to share.
When Duke’s family knew that the time had come for him to cross the Rainbow Bridge, they hired a photographer to chronicle his last day on earth, and they made sure it was a truly memorable last day. Which is a really cool way to honor your dog’s gifts to you.
They ate hamburgers, they played at the splash park, and they invited friends over to say goodbye. A dog couldn’t ask for any more.
Click on the link above to see the pix – you’ll be truly moved. There’s also an update on photographer Robyn Arouty’s blog.
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
Yesterday I posted a picture of a police dog saying goodbye to his partner who had been killed in the line of duty. It seems only fitting that today I post about officers saying goodbye to a K-9 partner who had to be put down.
