Many people have been talking about the damage your eyes can sustain from looking at the eclipse on Monday, but something I hadn’t thought about was my dog’s eyes.
It’s probably a good idea to keep your animals indoors during the eclipse. When it is at its peak, it will get fairly dark out, and your dog may be tempted to look up. If he or she happens to look at the sun directly, it’s entirely possible he or she could be blinded.
For the two-leggers in your family, check out this handy and easy to make eclipse viewer. I can remember my dad doing something similar with a cardboard box when we were little.
Until next time,
Good day, and good dog!
