NewsChannel 11 is spreading the word about the Greene County, Tennessee animal shelter, which is up to its ears in dogs. A county resident died recently, leaving behind 60 dogs in need of foster and / or adoptive placements. The shelter is also looking for donations of cash, food, and other supplies.
On Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at approximately 0500 hours, the City of Crossville Police Department assisted the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, who were attempting to stop a stolen semi-truck, which was traveling down a secluded dirt road off of Genesis Road. With City and County law enforcement in pursuit, the semi-truck wrecked in the woods and the suspect/driver fled on foot.

West Valley (AZ) Puppy Mill Bust
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office recently rescued as many as 130 Pugs and French Bulldogs from a puppy mill operation in Tonopah. They received an anonymous tip about conditions in the home and asked the homeowners to take care of the situation. When nothing was done, deputies returned and took control of the dogs without incident. The owners now face animal neglect charges.
